The newest addition to the Orchard Place Workshops is the candle and card making department.........

 

CANDLES

Using quality materials and professional equipment, Clients are taught different methods of candle making e.g. Moulded, dipped, scented and decorated. They are then available for purchase either by themselves, or the general public .The Clients are encouraged to participate in all the processes, from design through to packaging.

 

CARD MAKING

Handmade greetings cards are a popular purchase. We make cards to order using different methods, including decoupage, teabag folding, iris folding and embossing. This is popular with Clients who are a little more creative, and want to learn something they could continue in their own time.

 

In both activities the Clients are shown all the different stages including Health and Safety. They are encouraged to work in groups, as well as being able to work individually.
