The Assembly and Collating department at Orchard Place is one of our longest established areas in which clients can gain work experience. It is most suited to people with limited capabilities, or who need to be eased gently into work.

It provides structured, light work in a safe, friendly environment. The clients are encouraged to work in groups, which provide support, reassurance and help to promote social interaction.

We undertake work, (at a competitive rate!), provided by local companies who understand our needs. Because the work is so varied, we are able to tailor the tasks to the clients' capabilities and requirements. It covers all areas including collection and delivery, health and safety, assembly, collating, quality control, packaging, stock control, and administration.

When the clients' show improvement, or want a new challenge, there are other activities in the Workshop that they are encouraged to progress into.
