Orchard Place Wood Shop provides clients with the chance to gain skills within the furniture trade. Clients produce bespoke items for the general public, building small items such as bird boxes to grand Oak dining room suites, using modern machines and power tools with up to date skills in our well equipped workshop.

The wood shop also caters for those who might want to use their computer skills by helping within the office side of the trade - ordering, AutoCAD drawing and general office duties. The wood shop not only offers a skills based environment but a safe, friendly place to help build confidence, in a situation where clients are expected to work as a team. The vocational experience of the wood shop creates a stepping stone for those wishing to get back into employment or real work environment for those whom this may not be possible at the moment.
